I knocked down the same bag as last time out of the morning flight of ducks - 4 greenheads, a hen mallard, a black duck. One of the drakes was banded - last August 16th (2011) in Sackville Marsh. Ruby did some fine work one some difficult cripples in strong current - she's been sleeping it off all afternoon! -Croc

Well Im loving the picture of the Big Als Duck Decoys and the fine bag of birds in front of it. I saved it to my files. Were silos anypart of the equation this time out or was it again a question of where they wanted to be? liking that picture of Ruby as well!! ;D

Were silos anypart of the equation this time out or was it again a question of where they wanted to be? liking that picture of Ruby as well!! ;D Thought you'd like that pic Ed! lol! Nope - those birds wanted to be a half a mile away. I was on their path and pulled them down with some masterful calling Seriously though, I had a line of 3 floaters in the water and the silos up on the bank behind me. Most of the ducks had their eyes on the floaters, but at least three groups circled over the silos. I did drop one of the greenheads over the silos. In this case, it's un-natural for ducks to be up on the bank, so it's not really a fair test of the effectiveness of Big Al's there. They look great though and I'm sure if I ever get tired of the mess and find myelf a field they'll be just the ticket! -Croc
