Well, I was off today for a duck shoot in a corn field. I set up the decoys and turned on Mr Spinnie Wings (aka Mojo) at 7:34 and headed to put up my haybale blind and settle in. I got to the blind and looked back over my shoulder and there was 2 greenheads hovering over Mr Spinny Wings. Grabbed the gun and wham wham and two in the bag. Never got the blind set up, just crouched in the hedgerow and in the next 14 minutes hammered 3 more greengheads and a blackduck. Limited out and decoys picked up by 8:02. Wow one of my fastest decoy limits ever|!!!!

Sorry for the lack of stories and pics this fall. I have been super busy with getting the INN, better refered to as "this old house" ready for winter and it has cut down my time to report. I have tried to not let it take too much of my hunting time but it has had an effect. Also the weather has sucked, everyday I go it rains, and that doesn't make for great pics, but overall the hunting has been good. Getting to know the new area, and still spending sometime in my old haunts. It has been one of those falls where the goose hunting was better than the duck shooting. Most of the geese moved out with the last cold snap, and the ducks seems to have come around. So for the rest of the season it will be ducks and lots of them. There was a group of hunters close to me yesterday and when I left they had fired no less than 50-60 rounds, so either there was a big group or they shoot like I used to, LOL and still do some days HA \HA

Too bad you are in another province. I have some ok spots that I could share a hunt or two. When I lived in Halifax I did quite a bit of hunting around Lindsay Lake, and Middle Musqodobit. You might want to take a scouting trip into that area. Never a ton of birds but always able to pick up a few birds here and there. It was around 10 year back so things may have changed over the years
