Ever wanted to try your hand at shooting sporting clays, but weren't quite sure what to do? Well, we are hosting an Introduction to Sporting Clays "Fun Day" at the Lunenburg Rod & Gun Club on Saturday July 31st. We'll be setting up a course of 25 sporting clay targets designed for the Novice and Youth, and we will be happy to take you step by step through each station, showing you how to shoot the targets and give pointers on how to improve your scores. The Skeet and Trap ranges will also be open for those of you who want to try this as well. (Regular Saturday practice will still be held at the regular time.)
The Fun Day is for everyone from ages 12 and up. Doesn't matter whether you are a total novice or a seasoned veteran - come on out and fire off a few rounds with us. Start time is 10:00am to approx 2:30pm with a BBQ being held at 12:00pm. Regular costs apply: $4.00 per round of 25 targets for Members/$7.00 for Non-Members. Flat fee of $2.00 per day for Generator use if shooting Skeet & Trap. 12 Gauge ammo is available at $10.00 per box. We do have a few Members who are very willing to let you use their shotgun if you don't have one.
