This is one terrific inititive - Thankyou Anthony and Kevin Dont hesitate to call for any assistance- HESH- "steve" is our Nova Delta Youth Co-ordinator so he has much experience. I can only say whether you get 1-2-or 10+ Youths involved the effort is worth it

In my opinion any and all can come. The handling of firearms will be left for the older kinds of coarse.
The younger their introduced to certain aspects of the sport the better in my opinion. Who doesn't love a 2 year old running around the house blowing on a duck call, right?
The content will be aimed to the ages of 12 - 17. But again why not get them involved early.

I believe it is 12.
But Kevin Rose would be the best for answering this question.
The club may have certain guidelines as well.

Mark, the club allowes junior shooters from ages 12 to 18 without any courses as long as they are under direct supervision by a senior club member.

WOW!!! What a great turn out we had. 24 kids ranging from 7-18 who left with a bit more knowledge of the addiction we all love Waterfowl Hunting. I have to give a huge thanks to the Lunenburg Rod & Gun Club for the use of their facility, donations of prizes, and all the members who came out to make this day a big success. DUX-N-DOGS, Orion Lanyards, Wallace Equipment and Lunenburg Save-eas, M&S Foods and the Argyle for all the donations of prizes and food. Also DELTA Waterfowl for providing prizes, hats and calls for the kids. Also Special thanks to all the mentors for their time and knowledge they shared for this great event. Kevin Rose, Mike Sabean, Craig Cavicci, Nona Allen, Russell Crouse, Mark Hunt, Lloyd Blagdon, Bailey, Orion, NS DNR Officer Paul Steadman, and Environment Canada's Kim MacVicar. Here a some pics from the day Group Pic A Great turn out for the first but not last South Shore Waterfowl Day Mike Sabean reviewing farearm safety Myself teaching Waterfowl ID Kevin Rose fireing a shot for Shotgun Patterning Checking out the pattern The youngest attendee, she had to leave early for her nap. Thanks again Craig for a great job on Duck Calling Sharing knowledge. Kevin Rose on Goose Calling Officer Steadman stayed the entire day and was great with all questions Lloyd and Bailey doing the retriever demo Orion showed off his sharp nose, obedience and his world famous drive to retrieve bumpers Mark showing some waterfowl gear. Everyone who shot hit a target, great for some who never shot a gum before(no Berettas on site) NS DNR CO Paul Steadman Fielding questions on the Migratory Bird Act and Provincial Legislation. Environment Canada's Kim MacVicar reviewing Migratory Bird act and showing the kids the tools they use in the field. I think everyone had a great time and I am certain there will be a repeat next year. Please any comments good or bad you have or hear please let me know.
