What a great hunt we had on Sat. morning. Myself, cousin from PEI, and hunting partner had a 3 man limit in 1 hr and 10 min. 11 blacks, 1 greenwing teal and 6 mallards. Gsp Deuce and my buddies lab Stan were busy, with Stan making 2 great retrieves on the other side of the river on the dyke. Even when we were finished the ducks just kept piling in to the dekes and MOJO. We sat and watched the show for 20 minutes. Easily as much fun as shooting them. The dogs sat still as wave after wave hovered above the dekes and some even landed and swam about as we watched , talked and drank coffee. A truely awesome morning. Can't wait until next Sat. Good to see the Mud River kennel cover- and that the shells you got the other day came in handy. Great to see the pic. i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u632/chessie72/010_zpsb972717e.jpgChessie

damn - that sounds like fun! I've been wondering where all the ducks went. Three different areas that I hunt that were rotten with ducks a few weeks ago have dried right up. NOW I know where they went - to YOUR spot! lol! Fine lookin' dog, BTW. -Croc

Thanks guys.
Woot you're on the right track, scouting is more than half the battle. your chances of success are much better when you know where the birds are or where they want to be. It may seem tedious, it took me alot of years to figure that out. Just because it looks like a good spot means nothing if the ducks aren't going there.
