About the not just farmlands change. Does it actually say that or are you just going by that since it no longer says farmland only. Reason I ask is although waterfowl is Federal, the provincial hunt regs here in NB are notorious for leaving things out from year to year. For example the book used to say how many sq cm of hunter orange you need to have on your vest or jacket. Has not been in the book for a few years but its still in the Fish and Game act. I had a DNR question my upland jacket couple years back. Don't get me wrong it would be great if its true I'd just rather have it verified rather than just assume it so.

Where it does not specify- this is what allows it
Being confused myself, I call the Federal guys and got clarification
They told me that there is no restriction's any longer and that they hope to have a notice posted at all locations that sell the stamps highlighting this issue... because of all the confusion

As of yesterday they have habitat stamps only, and no word on when the small game and other provincial stamps will be available. Head office on Barrington said they're waiting for them to come from the printer.... yep, same old story... -Croc

I went to the NS Fed of Anglers and Hunters meeting this winter where the Canadian Wildlife Service guys discussed this. They confirmed it - no farmland restriction for early geese. So put your shorts and your bug-jacket on and have at 'er! lol! -Croc
