HAH - I sure did. I had an equipment malfunction the first night, and missed a nice doe. Had to borrow his rifle for the next morning. Around 8:30 I heard a shot from his blind and figured that I should pack up and go and help him with his deer, what with him being pretty crippled up these days. I was just getting ready to go when two yearlings came out to the carrots, so I gave it a bit of time while I watched them and waited for mom to come out. I am very short on hunting time this year, and figured my day was shot helping Eric with his deer, so when they started to think about walking away I shot one of the little ones in the neck. I went down to his blind to help him with his, only to find out that he didn't shoot at all - it was someone else!!!!!!!!! Oh well, she'll be delicious, but I won't get fat. I've still got my bonus tag though, and plan to give the bow at least a few more days before it wraps up for the year. Two little deer would be perfect in the kitchen, even if a little unsatisfactory in the trophy-room! -Croc

I've heard that story before, he probally missed!!! I'm not much of a trophy hunter myself, I'd like to shoot a big one but meat in the freezer comes first. I'm all packed up and heading over tomorrow, the weather looks good for the week. Hopefully the big boys will be on the move. Good luck for the rest of the season. Mike

OH, I forgot. I also shot a hole in Eric's blind. They don't call them "shoot thru windows" for nothing - lol lol lol! A 180 grain 30-06 through that mesh makes a bit of a mess though! -Croc

Well here he is. Hes no wall hanger, but a first bow buck for me so definately a trophy in that sense.

Nice deer Mike, I shot a spike at 5:05 Saturday legal shooting ended at 5:08 not much time to spare. We had a great week at camp I saw 58 deer myself and missed a big 8pt by half an hour. He was on camera at 1:30 and I got to the stand at 2:00, I took out the card that evening and checked it on the way back to camp and felt pretty sick when I saw the buck. I had spent three full days on stand before that and deciced to go out for lunch that day with the boys, oh well maybe he will be there for next year. I'll post some pictures when my buddy sends them to me.
