I agree it looks sweet but it only takes a 3" shell. Not saying anything bad about a 3" as I nearly shoot them 90% of the time but.... Its real nice to have the 3.5" option with a semi. I am a Browning man but at that price with only a 3" chamber, I would pass on the new A5 at least for now as they will most likely had the 3.5 next season.

I watched the little video teaser on the linked site - good marketing! They show some kind of feature that seems to automatically chamber a round when you're feeding the mag from underneath? Looks efficient for high-volume shooting (not usually my problem - lol!). The part of the video where all you see is the gun and the guy's arm sticking up out of the water is very much my style of hunting - just ask Take'em (but instead of doing it in a warm pond I prefer to do it in a deep tidal river in late December)... -Croc

Yeah.... Well they came out with a 3.5. After shouldering it several times, it came up to the eye wonderfully. So with the new mossy oak shadow grass blades camo. Done goes $1000 deposit and now I wait until late spring 2013 for my gun to come in.

Well it came in this past weekend. My new A5 3.5 chamber covered in Max-4. Sweet. Nice and light. Very long sight plane. The action closes very smooth compared to a gas semi. Got the range booked in Chester for Saturday afternoon. Back her in hard and fast. 200 rounds ready to go. Can't wait. Attachments:

Well I've put about 2000 rounds through the new A5 this summer. I have noticed a few things. Firstly the dura-touch camo coating on the gun is rubber like and soft. By shooting it through out the summer the sweat from my hands have stained the camo coating making it more yellow where I place my hands. Secondly I find there is my internal rust from the salt water than my old browning gold. So it needs to be cleaned more than my old gun. But over all, 2000 rounds of skeet, 3 goose hunts and 4 duck hunts, the gun has worked flawlessly. Quite happy with the gun, light, quick handling and reliable. The only thing is the color change of the dura-touch coating.
