Lunenburg Rod & Gun Club will be hosting its annual Clay Target Challenge Fun Shoot on Saturday, April 2, 2011. Like last year, this is a fun - no serious competition shoot for everyone - from the seasoned veteran to the novice shooter.
Bring your own shotgun and shells, and we'll provide the fun and instruction, if needed. Shells are available to purchase from the Club at $10.00 per box. (Remember: the best chokes to use are Skeet or Improved Cylinder for Skeet & Sporting Clays, and Full or Modified for Trap. Also #8 shot will be fine for all three shoots)
April 2nd (Saturday) 25 Skeet, 25 Trap and 25 Sporting Clays. Price $25.00. Start time 10:00am 3 Classes of Prizes to be awarded Light lunch available.

Well can we put a Dux N Dogs spin on some of the targets, lets round up two or three layouts and have them on one of the stations so that everyone can experience shooting on their butt. Have the shooter in the blind closed up and calling for the target with a duck or goose call of course a wing lock call. You could put two shooters in the blinds and have them call for the target, if the first shooter misses the second shooter has the opertinity to crush the missed target. Never hurts to practice all shots in the off season.

Shooting from a blind -Yes indeed certainly we can do that - we did that one year and it was great fun. Only thing with 2 shooters may be a problem from the range safety aspect but we can still run it by the club
