Nothing short of expectations for us this morning... MrNova, Newguy, Patman and myself managed to bag our 24 ducks for the day.. We ended the morning a little later than normal at about 9:00am but the super high tides had the birds a little messed up this morning.. we managed to take 7 Blacks, 8 Bluewing Teal and 9 Greenwing Teal.. All in all a blast was had by all... Gotta sat that the new Hypersonic shells have some serious kill power.. Longest attempted shot by me was about 55 yards and a nice Black folded up.. All of our other shots were under 25 yards.. The stuff can make a mess of the birds at that short yardage..

Why did I pack a lunch for tomorrow!!! Oh yeah..... I am going to make this last!!!! This sounds like it has the makings of a great opportunity for a first time young waterfowler like Brandon. Once we have a few in the blind I hope to have him try as many shots on the wing as we can muster. Practice makes perfect and god knows I could use it as well. Windy afternoon that is for sure. I figured lots of teal this time of year so I am going with 2 3/4 # 4's to start!!!

I've only seen two in hunting season and shot one. We.'ve shot hens and immature drakes before but not many. We get lots of Greenwings in full plume, I've even shot them on the last day of the season.

Thanks Chezz and Mike for convincing me to take the first day to go down there instead of studying all day I have to agree the new ammo was unfreekin believable very hard hitting BW teal @ 15 yards Wad Wizzard choke= no need to use a knife Yeesh what a mess Yesterday was outstanding, tons of fun, lots of birds, bundles of laughs and then we topped it off with building a blind for my "Sea Truck" i owe you guys one big time. Yesterday along with last Fridays hunt with Ross will probably be the only times I get out till after my Final board the 26th Thanks a bunch boys Gary
