Hey Guys,
Not sure if there is any interest but we are getting close to season and i am sure there are a few rusty callers out there. Most people tend to forget about practicing calling after season and expect to go to the blind on the first day and sing a masterpiece to the birds.
Calling birds into your deeks takes practice and if you are planning to jump into the blind first day you should be blowing the dust off your call now. Get a couple of weeks of practice in before you hit the blind. You don't want to have the birds pissing themselves in laughter at a call that sounds like a crow with a throat infection.
If anyone is interested in getting together to practice calling let me know . We can get together on a Sunday morning or afternoon as the evenings are tending to get a bit shorter.
Let me know if there is any interest and perhaps we can put something together.
Mike

Guy's I am thinking of Sunday Sept 19 at the Wellington dyke around 1 pm weather permitting. I know it is a bit of a drive but it is a good area. Should be birds in the river, Chezz you have driven by it before. It is remote so that we don't have to worry about upsetting anyone.
I will posr directions soon. I will be going down and I imagine Scotty will be goin. This is just practice not American Idol or a competition, just guys with a common goal,

Sounds like a great idea, and as a rank newbie I could certainly use the tips and practice, but as it always seems to go I've got something on the go that weekend and will be out of town. Have a good time, guys!
