Take'em and I headed out for opening day yesterday on crappy roads. Fished a beautiful little river but most of the trout didn't get the memo that they were supposed to cooperate after we risked out lives getting there and nearly got stuck in the snow! lol! Still, we saw many deer, geese and countless pheasants on the way and told some good yarns! Today I headed out to a little spot that usually coughs up a trout or two for me. Took 5 trout in the first 9 casts - unbelievable. Crushed my barbs and caught and released another 4 in the next 15 mintues or so, then headed in to work stinking of trout! lol! Yummy! ;D ;D -Croc

Haha - ain't that always this way???!!! I can usually only squeeze one or two trout out of this particular spot, but today, for some reason, it was ON! I was about as surprised to find all those trout there this morning as you were yesterday to find your spot lacking! Only difference being that I was this kind of surprised ;D whereas you were more of this kind LOL! -Croc

Looks like a great day. ;D Don't Bears come out of hibernation in the spring and arent they usually hungry- Id have one eye on the line and one over the shoulder Dog would keep any bear busy Less than a month to go and we MAY see one or two around...I'm hopin anyway. Still some ice around here yet, I'm bettin it took a beating today though and same forecast for tomorrow so maybe the weekend... G/F and I thinking on a canoe trip down the Annapolis it is open and holds the odd fish. Just need it to warm up a touch so she won't freeze.

Only ones I've ever seen are haulin' ass in the other direction! Only time I start to worry is when I have a camp set up, especially later May/June. Even then, usually it would just be a case of getting the camp trashed while you're out fishin! Now polar bears - that's a different story... I keep one eye on the tundra and my marine magnun slung over my shoulder! I imagine salmon fishers out west gotta do the same for big Mr. Grizz... -Croc

I love the look on your dog's face, it looks like she's ready to pummel a crippled goose......as soon as you cast her of course.

LOL - don't let that little bitch fool you - the only thing she's about the pummel is the milkbone that I tossed to Take'em to get her to look at him so he could take the picture - lol! -Croc

Took my buddy from Ireland out this morning before work. Beautiful morning to be out. Having grown up fishing Irish rivers where he had to rent a "beat" of the river in order to fish, he is always blown away by the luxury that we have in Canada of all these crown lands with freedom to fish! Even a little trout can but a monster grin on his face! lol! -Croc
