I have seen a few of our geese back over the last couple days- i never really think spring is here though until I hear see that the Osprey have returned. Cant wait for that as i hope to get some decent shots

Yup..been seeing a lot lately..approx 1000-1500 depending on the day and about 2 weeks ago, I watched around 700-800 heading north

Saw a flock the other day, 50 or so heading due north.

Seen my first flock of Canada's this week, also have seen lots of Robin's, and today 2nd day of spring we have a windchill of -21C!!! here in La Belle Province

I was at my blind today checking the damage from high water levels in the river and had about 500 Geese come into the river. There was also about 20 Buffleheads with them. They had never left the area but I don't think there was this many here all winter.

Yup, been seeing groups of 20-60 for a while. I think the first flock went over my new house just ofter I moved in, so around 15 Feb. Saw at least 200 in the corn across the river in shubie a week or so ago.
Other signs - robins from the south squaring off for turf, Marsh Hawk/Northern Harrier, more Redtails than usual (although this year a few hung around all winter), I actually went looking for my flyline, and there is open water this 1 Apr!!!
