I was just reading the bird notes in our local paper and they say there are 9 Redheads tending in a bay near here. Was wondering if anybody has ever seen any of these birds before or shot any. I never thought they came here. I might go try to see them as i have only ever seen these ducks in pictures. They also say there are some big flocks of Bluebill around which are getting bigger everyday. And some Ringnecks too.

You will aways see a few strange birds in the spring migration for example we don't get brant in the fall where I live and where I grew up but in the spring there are plenty aswell as seeing strange ducks The bluebills numbers around here are getting better in the fall from what I have been hearing so no surprise about there return migration hope it keeps climbing. Red Heads would be a nice added bird to our already multifowl region

There have also been a few snow geese seen and shot here in NS this past season. Love to see flocks of them start stopping by durring the season.
