well other night I was out running around in my duck boat and was taking a tight corner when the motor flew off the stern ....I think what happened was the rumbleing virbrated it loose....good thing is I always tie my motors to the stern in case this happenes and tie them short so they can't sink

Those types of situations can be more costly than just plain ol money If nothing else this reinforces that you must follow basics - like tie motors

yup I always tie my motors for that reason I don't want to spent 3500 to 4 grand for new motor right now

One of the things that the navy teaches ya is that often things go from bad to worse. catastrophes that could have easily been avoided if only certain steps were taken early on. Scenario- Your out aways in your boat and perhaps the motor did sink. Currents take you further from where you need to be going. You forgot to charge your communications or worse you out of range. The sea picks up etc. etc. There are things people take for granted but one of them should not be ones life.
