Well the maiden voyage has to wait for the afternoon.. The fog this morning was way too thick to even think about heading out.. no wind..super thick fog..warm as hell...= no hunt.....

Finally got to test out the new set up and it worked like a charm.. The only real change is to get a second anchor for the stern.. We loaded 14 goose decoys, 12 duck decoys and all of our blind gear and took a cruise up the harbor a little farther even though there wasn't any wind a lot of fog.. We seen a few ducks but nothing was interested in decoying at all.. Although we got skunked we had a good experience in the new blind.. Here's a couple pics with it packed any ready to go.. Pics of the blind up will follow later on

Glad you got out there to try it out anyways. Hopefully next week you'll coat it with blood and feathers! -Croc

No need to paint it cause it's covered from the bow straight back over the motor..
Eventually I will have a cover for it but for now..it'll have to do..

Very nice, hunting out of my boat done up with the same stuff, hunting divers and they are decoying no problems, better later in the year when most of the background is the same color. Also my stuff has darkened as it has been outside all the time.

mine has lost a lot of the brightness already and once it gets where I want it, I'm going to apply some water seal to it to extend the life of it even more

Chezz - I know that you told me that you were thinking of going with braces rather than cross-lines to hold the blind up, but is there anythign else that you would do different? Do your clamps ever cause you problems, or do they hold pretty well? Just guestimating, but is your blind about 10 feet long (assuming that jon model is 14 feet and change long)? -Croc
