Was out for a bike run tonight and we went up through Dutch Settlement and there must have been 30 cars parked along the road with guys fishing along the river...

Geez - sounds a little crowded to me Chezz! Luckily, Take'em, my buddy Dylan and I had a bit more peace and quiet on Saturday on the Shubie. Take'em got a nice one: My buddy Dylan got 3 bigs ones: I was so busy slopping around down the banks to grab and release everyone's fish that I never managed a big one myself, but I'm just as happy to see others tying into nice ones! I may start charging a "wader rinsing fee" for my services though! lol! All this mud is good practice for my Fundy marsh spot this fall! -Croc

Nice fish croc, Anyone have any idea what the tide times are for the Stewiacke this weekend? Was planning on heading down and would like to time it right to fish the lures as bait has been banned on the river.

I'm not sure, but there is a loooong thread on novascotiafishing.com called "shubenacadie/stewiake striped bass" that mentioned what tidal locations to look up for Stewiake fishing. Good luck! I had very good success last week using 4" twister tails and long red/black rubber worms on 1/8 to 1/4 oz jig heads. Most of the guys I saw fishing there cast across and reel pretty fast, but my buddy Dylan caught any, including some really nice ones, almost dead-drifting these baits - just reeling fast enough to keep them off the bottom. Post some pics if you can - might even see you on the river if my home renos go well (yeah right -when does THAT ever happen! lol!). -Croc

Yeah I have been following that thread on nsfishing but last time I tried to follow the posted tide times I ended up getting there just as the tide was rushing in...good luck with those renos...if they are anything like mine they are never ending so you might as well say F*&k it and go fishing!! lol
