Back in the day waders were for the most part inner tube tires that were heavy, bulky and generally uncomfortable to wear. Yesterday I recieved a pair of neoprene advantage wetlands camo waders. They were a perfect fit!! Light easy to walk around in, comfortable ,warm, all good Anyway one more item to cross off the needs list! ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png)

there is a company out towards peggy's cove called ABYSS Drysuits that make custom neoprene waders they are very nice my Boss bought a pair they did alot of custom stuff to them for him as well. They are a local Company and they really stand behind their products we sell their drysuits at the dive shop i work at part time Their stuff stands up to a ton of abuse and never fails to perform Just another option to the local guys in my opinion worth checking into

I hear the only downfall of these is the $500.00 price tag..is this really the price or is it more realistic??

it show they start at 400 and goes up from there they have Break-up and shadow grass in two thicknesses 3mm and 5mm they have a 6.5mm thickness spandura that has a titanium heat reflecting lining at 495 no mention of color tho all seams are sealed with ADS polymer (my drysuit has that, 9 years over 1000 dives no leaks yet) all kinds of option and accessories I am sounding like a used car salesman now so i am stopping their website www.abyssdivingsuits.com

3 guys reported leaks - I was not one of them and I even sat in the water - Not only was I making a fashion statement but they were 100% effective and well worth dragging them out to Alberta

speaking of waders I also ordered a set off ebay before we left ...when i got them i noticed a spot on them just under the buckle that looked weak and about to rip....well i did some checking around and found a local company that did what id say was a very good fix on them he has a machine to stitch neoprene and also told me he stocks the regular brown neoprene so i figured id let eveyone here who they are because "rips happen"the company is Pictou County Glass and trust me the price was very reasonable

No matter how good the waders Wendall found out that when you stumble a severe leak will occur when your reaching for bottom- He kept his gun high and dry ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png)

Good to know.. would you mind checking to see how much they would charge to add a set of buckles to the shoulder straps, to replace the velcro closure.. The velcro tends to pull apart if you have any type of weight attached to the front of the waders...ie..shell holder..
Thanks
Rob
